Craft exercises are learnable skills which will hone your verbal and physical work with the text. Understand how to "throw away" one line to give extra value to the next. Learn how to use rhythm in language to create meaning and maintain interest with the audience. Understand how to "frame a line" or "spread a line" to create resonance. Employ gesture and physical architecture to establish presence, power and nuance.
